Senior Vice President – Trucking & Freight Derivatives

Atlanta, Ga

Gary is responsible for managing Lakefront’s newly launched trucking & freight sector focused derivatives group nationwide and provides the industry the best of two worlds – he is a licensed Series 3 derivatives broker with a background in logistics and significant experience operating a freight brokerage company. His real time insight on the trends impacting the trucking spot market’s supply / demand conditions and spot rates nationwide allow him to engineer the optimal derivatives hedging and profiting strategy for each market participant on a customized basis. Gary will work directly with the commercial users requiring risk mitigation solutions – shippers, trucking carriers and 3PLs. In addition, Gary will also help market participants identify profiting strategies that they can execute on via positions in both the trucking forward and futures markets – i.e. rate direction speculation, spread arbitrage, and synthetic cash and carry arbitrage.
