Craig Maccagno joined the Lakefront/aiSource team in 2011 and runs the Tampa, FL branch office. With over 15 years of experience as a proprietary trader, his understanding of the different strategies and methodologies employed by the vast array of CTA’s has proven to be a valuable asset to the firm. He plays an integral role in the discovery and vetting process of any new program the firm may consider offering . His philosophy with CTAs and clients alike is that integrity, trust, communication, and transparency are the keys to building strong relationships as everyone works together towards long term success.
His lifelong interest in the markets and longtime trading background offer him a unique perspective which his clients appreciate. Craig prefers to take a top down approach, which begins with risk management specific to each clients individual parameters.
Darin Fessler (Lincoln, NE)

Darin Fessler joined Lakefront having been involved in agriculture nearly his entire life. He grew up in a farming family near Sutton, NE where he graduated and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University, earning degrees in finance and economics. Darin studies various futures markets daily using technical and fundamental analysis. His honest approach with clients keeps trading simple while providing sound risk management. Darin’s unique ability to understand producers needs allows him to focus on unnecessary risk and revenue protection.
Darin contributes on various media outlets on commodity markets & prides himself on being a dependable resource. In his personal time, Darin enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, and is an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and of course Nebraska football.
Doug Nickel (Horseshoe Bay, TX)

Doug joined Lakefront Futures in November 2015 after operating his own IB for 10 years. Growing up on a farm near Kearney, Nebraska, Doug specializes in the agricultural commodities: meats, grains and oilseeds. Doug has worked with traders and hedgers of all sizes as well as traders who are new to the world of commodities. Doug`s three decades of futures trading experience, along with a perpetual love of commodities trading, makes for a well-earned role as your personal broker and coach.
Ashley Stuart (Brinson, GA)

Ashley comes to us from a small town in SW Georgia. She was raised on some of the finest farm dirt in the United States. She understands from a personal level the dedication and drive it takes to be a successful farmer. This goes hand in hand with her career choice on the other side of the farming equation-marketing. She enjoys the customer interaction at Lakefront and strives to help each and every customer as much as possible.
She currently resides in South Georgia so that she can be close to her farmers and her family.
Gary Kosacz (Fort Collins, CO)

Gary Kosacz graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1976 with a B.A. in Psychology. During his post college days Gary got involved with the oil and gas industry and worked in the exploration and production division of Rio Grande Drilling Company. While working in in the Western oil fields he spent his off time climbing, skiing and fishing in the Rocky and Wasatch Mountains. Fascinated with finance side of the oil business, he took employment with an NASD Securities firm specializing in Oil and Gas related investments. After working as a Registered Representative for 9 years, he made the switch to Commodity Futures in 1995 and has been working as a registered futures broker ever since. “I reflect back to some of my college days in group psychology courses to this very day, and I still find that It’s the public’s perception, that moves the markets”. With 30 years of financial business to draw upon in advising his clients, he feels that the opportunities in commodity futures today are even greater than they were when he first got his license more than 20 years ago.
Gary lives in Colorado, enjoys his family, skiing, fishing, golf and very much involved in Colorado club soccer.
Michael Gallagher (Naperville, IL)
Portfolio Manager / Director of Technology
Michael Gallagher graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Computer Science and a minor in business. During his college days, he was a member of the Iowa Men’s Crew team for two years, then continued on to pursue his private pilot’s license and worked as an assistant arbitrage clerk on the Chicago Board of Trade during his summer vacations.
Michael began his professional career in New York as an associate programmer for a technology company developing a trading strategy platform. Following this, he joined a brokerage group in Chicago as an operations manager and technology developer. From this, he continued on to accept a full time position at Janla Capital, LLC to design and develop a comprehensive technology platform for portfolio analytics and performance risk management of managed futures accounts. Michael has brought his expertise and experience from Janla Capital to make aiSource’s portfolio and risk management procedures more robust. He will function as a portfolio advisor and risk manager for client portfolios.
In Michael’s personal life, he is passionate about being active outdoors. He is an avid hockey player and enjoys skiing in the winter, as well as camping, hiking, and boating in the summers.
Scott H. Fitzgerald (Mequon, WI)

Scott Fitzgerald graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1986 with a B.A. in English. Over the next ten years Scott created a real estate business, managing and investing in apartment buildings. In 1996 Scott left real estate to become a full time investor and trader of equities, futures and forex. Scott has also been involved with brokerage and market research companies, gaining valuable experience serving clients. Whether accommodating real estate tenants, investing and trading, or working with clients in the financial industry, Scott has developed a strong belief and creed in building client relationships based on trust, and delivering the best product and customer service in the industry. Scott believes understanding his clients, their risk parameters and expectations, is essential to achieve their goals.
Scott and Lakefront Futures first crossed paths in January of 2014 on a business collaboration. “I soon realized, these guys really get it and I want to be a part of it!” He joined Lakefront Futures and aiSource in 2015. Scott lives in Wisconsin, enjoys his family, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and golf.

Robert Spears (Charleston, WV)

Robert started in the financial business in 1982 with a major wirehouse dealing primarily in stocks and bonds. His focus was working with small business owners and retirees to develop portfolios which met their investment goals and objectives. After the severe stock market correction of 2000-2002, he investigated the options available to offer valuable diversification to his clients. This led to a new career in the futures business in 2003 focusing on managed accounts. Today, he utilizes his thirty years of market experience to construct programs for each individual investor’s needs. His mission is to offer solutions with the potential to perform in most market price environments.
Robert graduated from West Virginia University in 1980 with a degree in finance.He enjoys fly fishing, WVU sports, reading and spending quality time with family and friends.
Doug S. Hutcheon (St. Petersburg, FL)

Doug Hutcheon started his career at the Chicago Board of Trade in 1993. His time at the CBOT gave him a solid knowledge of markets and experience with a wide range of commodities, options, forex and cash markets. After his time in Chicago, Doug moved on to a position with a highly regarded Commodity Trading Advisor in Santa Barbara, California as a Portfolio Manager. There he gained invaluable experience with all aspects of a CTA. Daily functions of his included trading, risk management, compliance, and client services.
As a lifelong athlete and coach, having a team mentality has always been a part of Doug’s philosophy. He sees his role as much like that of an investment coach – someone who can teach, guide and help his clients with complementing their core investments using Managed Futures.
