+28 Bcf for the week ending July 24, the fifth straight week of declining injections, bringing total working gas to 3,084 Bcf. Three regions drew gas: South Central pulled 9 Bcf with salt alone down 14, Pacific drew 7, and Mountain drew 2.
The year over year deficit widened to 32 Bcf (1.0%), the first time in weeks, while the five year surplus held at 185 Bcf (6.4%). Injections have gone from +87 five weeks ago to +28 now, and the regional draws in the South and West point to cooling demand finally pulling gas. One week does not make a trend, but for the first time in a month the data leans tighter.
