$1.7059 on NDM, down 8Β’ and the eighth decline in nine weeks. That is over 40Β’ of losses since late May. Cheddar broke below $1.50 for the first time at $1.4961, the weakest cash block print in this data going back months. Butter ripped 7.9Β’ higher to $1.6590.
Friday’s WASDE caught down across the board. NDM got cut 8.5Β’ to $1.615, cheese got cut 4Β’ to $1.570, butter got cut 5Β’ to $1.690, and milk production got raised another 200 million pounds to 236.6B. Cash cheddar at $1.50 is already trading 7Β’ below the new forecast, which means USDA still hasn’t caught up to where blocks actually are. Class IV took the worst of it, down 95Β’ to $18.40. The whole complex is repricing lower.
